Sustainable Palm Oil Study Tour (Thailand, Nov, 2019)

Wild Asia’s Sustainable Palm Oil Study Tour is a great opportunity to learn more about the challenges and opportunities for sustainable palm oil production – from the perspective of the larger companies and the efforts of smaller producers.  We hope to build a closer connection between the palm oil-based industry and growers on the ground. It is our way to improve the palm oil value chain for small producers.

The study tour will be led by an experienced facilitator with knowledge of the region and its people. Working with local partners and projects, the tour has been carefully designed by Wild Asia to give participants an opportunity to learn more about palm oil production and the region where palm oil is produced. A key feature of all our study tours is the opportunity to get an insight into our efforts to organise and support small producers to meet RSPO certification standards. The study tour is designed for anyone who is part of the palm oil value chain – from the end-product manufacturer and ingredient manufacturers to palm oil processors and sustainable palm oil supporters.

Wild Asia supports small producers in becoming RSPO certified and we are keen to connect buyers or users of palm oil to RSPO-certified small producers. Learn more from our team about how we can help connect you to our smallholders in Malaysia, or establish connections for our partners in Indonesia, Thailand and other countries.
